Audi A6 C8 open air intake in carbon fibre and fibreglass
Open air intake for the Audi A6 C8 3.0 TFSI V6 (EA839, 2018+). Designed, engineered and produced in our own workshop. Made to order, with a 14 day cooling-off period.
What it is
The open air intake replaces the original intake tract before the turbo with an exposed filter and a short, less winding air path. That lowers resistance and makes the intake audible. The housing is composite: carbon fibre where stiffness and weight matter, fibreglass where robustness weighs heavier.
We design, engineer and produce the intake entirely ourselves: from the 3D model and the mould to laminating, curing, finishing and final inspection.
Why this intake
Short air path
Fewer bends and restrictions mean less flow resistance on the way to the turbo.
Composite insulates
Composite conducts heat poorly. The intake air therefore stays cooler than with a metal pipe.
3D-scanned fit
The engine bay was scanned and replicated for a direct bolt-on fit, without modification.
Visible and audible
The weave is on show in the engine bay and the intake gains an audible character.

What is the difference between an open air intake and a cold air intake?
With an open air intake the filter sits exposed in the engine bay. The air takes a short, less winding route to the turbo, which lowers resistance and makes the intake audible. With a cold air intake that same filter is shielded and fed with cool air from outside. In practice the two overlap: a well designed open intake always has shielding, because warm engine bay air undoes the benefit.
What is the lead time?
Every part is made in our own workshop after your confirmation. Production usually takes around 10 working days (2 weeks), followed by shipping. See the shipping policy for the full arrangement.
Can I return it?
Yes. You have the statutory 14 day right of withdrawal after receipt. Report your withdrawal via info@torqueunleash.com and return the part unfitted within 14 days after that. A fitted part can no longer be sold as new, so only fit it once you are sure you are keeping it. See the returns policy.
