How do you look after carbon fibre parts?

The part itself needs little, the clear coat does. It protects against UV, because sunlight will yellow unprotected resin over time. Clean with water and a mild car shampoo, not with harsh degreasers or a scouring pad. Under the bonnet a damp cloth is enough. A paint sealant or wax keeps the gloss for a long time. Scratches in the clear coat can usually be polished out without touching the weave.
